cast on : 8.7.20 >>> A kind friend of mine recently finished a beautiful pair of Wildflowers and Honeycomb socks, using our 2-ply, Farmhouse base in the two colorways, Lake House and Wildflowers. I loved this combination so much that I couldn’t resist knitting myself a pair, too. The last time, I’ve knitted with Wildflowers was last year, while in Italy . The Tegna by Caitlin Hunter was the project of choice..
8.19.20 >>> This is my first time knitting with a chart. I’ve always found charts to be intimidating therefore, avoiding them at all cost. It wasn’t until someone suggested that maybe I could write the chart out, I’d finally mustered the courage to carry on. Beginning with round 1… I’ve completed my first “chart round” if that’s even a thing. I was very proud, so I kept going. By the time I’d reach round 12, I was no longer frighten.
mushroom progress keeper + wildflowers + lake house, both 2-ply farmhouse base.
8.20.19 >>> I can’t decide on knitting a shorter leg rather than a longer style leg for this sock. Most of my hand knit socks stop right below my calf muscle and I usually adore this fit. I really enjoy wearing my socks over leggings during colder months but what’s making me hesitant is the style of this particular design. I’m beginning to daydream of wearing these adorable socks with my garden shoes while working in the yard and/or in my studio space.
